The project is under
way in 349 focal villages in all eight districts of North &
East province and 47 selected border villages of the neighbouring
four districts and completed the following activities as of
June 2004.

The project has rehabilitated
214 irrigation schemes.

Improved service capacity of
about 861.74 km of village rural roads

Constructed about 519 Nos of
safe drinking water wells.

Under livelihood support activities,
self- employment & income generating activities have been provided
for some 14,641 families and the project has constructed about
245 Nos of community centres.
