The project has brought back some 14,662 ha into cultivation under 214 rehabilitated irrigation schemes. These lands had not been used for cultivation previously for many years due to destruction and dilapidated condition of irrigation systems due to prolong conflict.

Sustained improvement in basic living condition generated by increased agriculture production and other project supported activities.

With the rehabilitation of 861.74 km of rural roads 42,622 families or approximately 50,978 population living in 226 focal villages have been able to enjoy their travelling and transport convenience by getting better access to their paddy fields, market places, other service providing institutions such as Schools, Health centres, co-operative, postal services etc.

The project has provided pure drinking water facilities for at least 51,978 families and given a chance by reducing their time to fetch water and saving time to attend their other household activities.

Through LSA, the project has introduced a poverty reduction measure for most vulnerable groups such as land less families, female headed house holds, indigenous people and ethnic minorities whom have not been protected through other measures. Assistance have been given for about 15,043 numbers of families and created self- employment and income generating activities for these families.
